A physician provides a routine medical exam to a patient.Salary is just part of the employment picture. Benefits are also important, and the city is proud to say its benefits rival those of other major employers. Benefits for full-time employees include medical insurance, paid holidays and vacation, flexible spending accounts for dependent care and health care, deferred compensation, retirement, free bus cards and more. Job classifications determine some benefits. The job classifications are Field Units I and II; Office and Clerical; Police Officers; Fire; Confidential Office and Clerical; Supervisory and Professional; Police Supervisory and Professional; Middle Management; and Executive.
